I have always been skeptical of getting any sort of treatment due to poor experiences with traditional doctors in an urgent care or emergency room settings. I had been dealing with a nagging shoulder pain for a few months that was limiting my ability to do over head pressing workouts. I finally decided to look into physical therapy after trying to fix my problem on my own with no success. I was very pleased when I reached out and learned that OrMobility didnt require a referral from a doctor. The staff at the facility were very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I was able to regain my ability to press overhead and actually learn the root cause of my problem in very few sessions. I highly recommend anyone dealing with pain or limiting mobility to check these folks out. Tony Hernandez2025-06-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It's my pleasure to share an incredibly positive review for an exceptional team of professionals who have profoundly impacted my health and fitness journey: Dr. Garrett Stroup (Physical Therapist), Rachel Galligan (Nutritionist), and Hannah Truitt (Professional Fitness Coach). Dr. Garrett Stroup - Physical Therapist: Dr. Garrett Stroup is an absolute revelation. For years, I suffered from persistent lower back pain, seeing chiropractors with little lasting relief. Meeting Garrett changed everything. He possesses an incredible depth of knowledge about the human body, meticulously teaching me why my muscles, joints, and ligaments were hurting. He didn't just treat symptoms; he helped me identify the root cause of my pain, revealing that my lower back instability was linked to weak hamstrings. Garrett developed a personalized workout plan that strengthened all the surrounding muscles, addressing the core issue rather than just the pain. I am forever grateful for his intelligence and expertise; he truly transformed my understanding of my own body. Rachel Galligan - Nutritionist: Rachel Galligan is an amazing nutritionist who has revolutionized my relationship with food. I initially suspected food intolerances, but Rachel, with her vast knowledge, helped me realize that my debilitating low energy and fatigue (especially hitting a "rock wall" around 3-4 pm) stemmed from under-fueling my body for my activity levels. She expertly guided me to a plan where I now consume over 3,200 calories daily, maintaining my weight, and most importantly, I have abundant energy throughout the day. Working with Rachel has been an enlightening and incredibly rewarding experience. Hannah Truitt - Professional Fitness Coach: Hannah Truitt is an equally outstanding professional fitness coach. Her guidance has completely shifted my mindset about training. I used to believe that consistent, hard lifting was the only path to building muscle, but Hannah taught me the critical importance of off-seasons and incorporating diverse modalities like performance-based and cardio-based training. Her intelligent approach has broadened my perspective and optimized my overall fitness strategy. She is truly a knowledgeable and inspiring coach. In summary, this entire team—Dr. Garrett Stroup, Rachel Galligan, and Hannah Truitt—works seamlessly together, demonstrating exceptional expertise and a genuine commitment to their clients' well-being. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to elevate their fitness, health, and lifestyle goals to the next level. They are truly top-tier professionals. I was originally referred to OrM by my primary care physician after being diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS). At the time, my goal was regaining practical control over my body again. Before seeing Dr. Garrett Stroup, I had gone months without the full use of my hands, nerve pain and numbness throughout my body, increasingly excessive joint subluxations and dislocations, a massive loss in stamina and ability to have sustained activity, and loss of bodily awareness from a secondary injury from a car accident. I was, honestly, very scared of what my future was going to be before I met Dr. Stroup. But Dr. Stroup and the rest of the OrM team do what I've had others fail at again and again, and that is communicate fully with empathy and clarity and cater to your body's specific needs. Thanks to Dr. Stroup's help, my pain management has vastly improved, and my hEDS diagnosis no longer feels like the end to so many things I used to enjoy. There was no gap between my experience living in my body and what Dr. Stroup believed was important and valid to give space and energy to treating. Sincerity and honesty about the physical, medical, financial, lifestyle, and even emotional demands of this process was given upfront with clarity, empathy, and most importantly options. I have made huge improvements in my ability to move safely and to manage my chronic pain. Everyday I experienced locked arms, screaming with nerve pain daily, unable to perform daily tasks, let alone type, writer, or draw (as I do personally and professionally) and severe joint dislocations throughout my body. I struggled at the time to even hold my arm out straight due to the nerve pain. With pain management techniques, physical exercises that took my current state and the limitations of my EDS into account, and help finding bracing options and mobility aids, I was put on a plan to calm down my body and begin the process of building strength to support my struggling joints. This process was slow; it even at times felt silly. But when other therapists had given me exercises I could force myself to do, Dr. Stroup gave me ones my body actually *needed*. It's such a gift to work with someone who truly understands EDS. I had an inaccurate concept to what pain in my body even was because of my undiagnosed EDS, and Dr. Stroup has helped me so much learning how to live with EDS and create boundaries for protecting my body's health. I've had pleasant experiences most physical therapists I've spoken to, but Dr. Stroup's expertise and practice really go above and beyond. I still have a long way to go; living with EDS is going to be a lifelong journey. There will always be things I struggle with and my life won't look the same as someone with a typical, healthy body, but with Dr. Stroup's help, that struggle no longer had to be a black-hole of question marks and dead ends. I have tools to help me assess my body's ability day by day. My practical life today has so many more possibilities than it did a year ago. I can draw again! Paint again! Maybe, eventually dance again! There's hope for building up my tolerance to activity that I didn't have before coming to OrM and would not have without them. OrMobility also has an extremely accessible app to help keep track of your exercises at home and to communicate with your team. This has been very helpful for me to communicate between appointments and to ask questions or express concerns when they crop up. Especially as someone with EDS, bodies can be weird and do weird things, and having someone who is there to answer questions quickly and without judgement is so helpful. The service you get really goes beyond just your appointment hour. I cannot recommend them enough. On the patient-side of this journey, it can feel very rare to find medical professionals who actually make you feel like they are "on your team," but the OrMobility team really is! Thank you for taking the time to read this review, and I hope you're able to find progress in your journey like I have! I have had knee pain since I was 12 years old that only got amplified when I tore 2 ligaments in my knee at 16 but since I’ve been going to OrMobility physical therapy and seeing Garrett my knee pain is pretty much gone. I would highly recommend for athletes or just people trying to get rid of any pain that you thought would never leave. Garrett Stroup takes PT beyond what I had ever experienced thanks to his education and personal coping with aches and pains. When you describe your problems, he is almost instantly on it with trigger point analysis and prescribed exercises that really work! I highly recommend him for people whose PT post surgery, in my case, hip surgery, corrected imbalances, and stabilization problems. If you think you are on the road to surgery, it would pay to book a visit with Oregon Mobility for assessment, treatments and exercises first. For years I had assumed that living with horrible sciatica pain was just part of life & part of aging, until a friend directed me to OrMobility & Garrett!! I walked in not knowing what to expect, and left filled with tears of hope & joy realizing that this wasn't something I was just going to have to live with. Garrett has not only provided me with the tools needed to overcome muscle imbalance, but he TEACHES me about how our body works and why these things happened in the first place. He is also so willing to look at my exercise moves for my fitness class to ensure I am doing them correctly which I greatly appreciate. I also love that he looks at the body as a whole and has given me other exercises to strengthen me from head to toe. I also feel so blessed to be able to sit in on the workshops that they offer, and then i am able to take all that I'm learning into my fitness class and circle of family & friends. OrMobility has such a heart for our community and definitely gets 5 stars!! I highly recommend Garrett and the whole staff!!! They are TOP NOTCH and I am so grateful for them! As a senior in high school with DII offers for cross country and track on the line, I was devastated when a knee injury prevented me from running during off-season training. I took a few weeks off to see if the pain would go away but it felt the same as before. After around 4 weeks of not running, I finally went to a physical therapist. Another 3 weeks go by I’m barely jogging as pain continues to shoot up and down my leg. That’s when I was recommended to OrMobility. Even after just one session with Mr. Stroup, my knee felt so much better. He taught me about what was causing my pain, how to treat it, and, most importantly, how to prevent it in the future. I’m five sessions in with Mr. Stroup as of today and have made incredible progress. Before I started seeing him, I was struggling to jog 2 miles before I had to stop because of the pain. Now? I’m competing in the varsity 4x100m and 4x400m relays at my school. My legs feel stable, lighter, and more powerful than ever before. Headed into districts next week, both the 4x100m and 4x400m teams have a strong chance at qualifying for the state meet. We have also hit qualifying times for nationals! Not only has Mr. Stroup saved my senior season, but he has also saved my team’s hopes of going to state. I would recommend anyone to OrMobility, as they have shown me how to be stronger and take better care of my body. Thank you to everyone at OrMobility, especially Mr. Stroup. I wouldn’t be where I am today without your help.

I injured my knee and reached out hoping I could get on track towards recovery right away. I got a reply immediately and was set up with an appointment. During the appointments, Dr Stroup was very professional, knowledgeable, and invested in my personal case and injury history. Having the appointments at home was extremely convenient as we have a busy life with our kids and work schedules.
- Derek S.My husband was in an automobile accident that has left him a quadriplegic. Arriving back home in Roseburg after 3 months in the hospital and inpatient rehab, we were greatly concerned about how we were going to continue the physical therapy he would need. Garrett has been an answer to prayer! We have been impressed with his knowledge of the issues that come with spinal cord injuries and also his willingness to work around our schedule and develop a plan that is specific to my husband’s needs and goals. He is very professional, safety conscious and kind. We highly recommend him!
- Kristin Y.We have been using OrMobility Physical Therapy & Performance since January as my husband recently had 2 knee replacements. Garrett has been invaluable in my husband’s recovery and rehabilitation. Garrett provides a level of service and caring that exceeds standard care. He has genuinely cared that we have the best outcome. Garrett is always prompt for our scheduled appointments and is always professional. We highly recommend OrMobility Physical Therapy & Performance. Truly a 5 star business.
- Melody H.Garrett has been very knowledgeable in helping with the popping in my jaw. I did not realize you could have physical therapy exercises for TMJ issues. He is also helping me with tennis elbow. He comes to my home and I find it beneficial that I don't need to wait in a waiting area or wonder how to do the exercises when I get home. He shows me how to best do the exercises using what I have in my home, (chairs, table, weights etc). He is knowledgeable yet able to explain in a "down to earth" away what is causing the pain and how I need to do the exercises. He also follows up with a personalized online program that explains my specific exercises which ensures that I am successful in completing them. Thanks Garrett!
- Shelly P.I find OrMobility Physical Therapy & Performance to be unique and effective. They get results. Dr. Stroup offers personalized Physical Therapy. He evaluates your situation then designs a program to address the issues that reduce your ability to perform daily living tasks. He is always mindful of your limitations, abilities and goals with a positive approach and is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend OrMobility Physical Therapy & Performance Dr. Stroup.
- Marie D.I recently completed several Physical Therapy sessions with Garrett Stroup of OrMobility Physical Therapy & Performance due to my difficulty walking and pain throughout my leg. Initially it was difficult for me to re-learn to use the appropriate muscles and to stop using weaker ones to compensate. My leg is now pain-free and my gait is much improved, and, more importantly, I am much safer when walking. I no longer must use assorted ice packs every evening and surprisingly my restless leg syndrome symptoms have almost disappeared. I benefited so much from my therapy sessions and I would not hesitate to to recommend Garrett to anyone looking for a good physical therapist.
- Barbara T.I was diagnosed with vertigo when I was admitted to the hospital. After seeing my primary physician he recommended physical therapy and referred me to a facility in Roseburg. Before I made the appointment I was informed there was a physical therapist that would make house calls. I asked my primary doctor to please give him my name. Garrett Stroup called me the same day and made an appointment for the next day. He was at my home prompt the next morning. Was very informative regarding what he could do for me. After two sessions with him I am no longer having the dizziness that comes with vertigo. I highly recommend Dr. Garrett Stroup if you want to have therapy.
- BCorrine M.Garrett is an exceptional therapist that has a good grasp on how to not only relieve pain but to also return you to function. As a colleague I have found him to be an amazing therapist and recommend him wholeheartedly. He will get you to where you want to be so you can get back to living they way you want to live.
- Stephen O.Top-Rated Physical Therapy Care in Roseburg — Focused on Your Results
At OrMobility Physical Therapy & Performance, expert care begins with advanced education, extensive experience, and the freedom to put your health first. After earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I pursued advanced specialties including Concussion Management, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction, thoracic spine and rib dysfunctions, as well as knee and hip pain and various musculoskeletal disorders.
As the highest-rated physical therapy clinic in Roseburg on Google, Facebook, and Yelp, we pride ourselves on delivering personalized, results-driven care.
Unlike many clinics bound by insurance restrictions, we operate out of network, freeing us from insurance rules that often hold back your progress. For example, insurance companies apply MPPR (Multiple Procedure Payment Reduction), which limits physical therapists from spending a full hour individually with each patient. These rules also typically restrict care to a single diagnosis—even when pain in one area, like the ankle, is causing issues elsewhere, such as low back pain.
Because we are not constrained by these limits, we provide comprehensive, individualized care that addresses all contributing factors to your condition. We take the time to listen carefully, develop personalized treatment plans, and use innovative manual therapy techniques tailored specifically to your needs.
Having treated thousands of patients successfully, I’m proud to bring this high-quality, patient-focused physical therapy and rehabilitation care to the Roseburg, Oregon community, helping build a stronger, healthier population.
